Fairgate Keeps Getting Rave Reviews

April 18th, 2013

grade aNothing makes us happier than getting wonderful feedback from our guests. We especially appreciate the reviews posted online and the fact that people take the time to write and share their experience. Not only do their comments help us know we are continuing to exceed customer expectations, the input is an invaluable tool for fellow travelers. A couple who stayed with us last month had this to share: “Wow is the word that kept coming to my mind when I saw this beautiful B&B.  We are here celebrating our wedding anniversary weekend. We couldn’t have picked a better place for this special occasion. The Inn is absolutely gorgeous. The snack bar outside the room is a welcome addition. Our room is clean & beautifully furnished. Thank you Fairgate Inn for making this weekend a memorable one for us to cherish.” And this from guests earlier this month: “The staff is super friendly and accommodating. The building itself is beautiful. Our room was perfect. Breakfast is excellent. Very romantic.” If you’ve been a recent guest at our inn, email your comments or post on TripAdvisor. Feel free to share photos, too. And don’t forget to “like” us on Facebook. Thanks and happy trails until we meet again!

The Fairgate Men at Work

April 11th, 2013

DSCN3796It takes a terrific team to keep everything running smoothly at a venue this size and this busy. We wanted to brag a bit about the wonderful guys who are a part of our crew. Not only do they have to consistently meet our high standards of being prompt, courteous, well-groomed, hard-working, energetic and experienced; they are also asked to pitch-in wherever needed … sometimes at a moment’s notice. Flexibility counts in this business. We wear lots of hats on any given day and the more you can roll with the punches and come out smiling – the better. So, you might find that sweet bartender trimming hedges the next day; or see the helpful server waxing wood floors in the morning. It truly takes a village. And we count ourselves very fortunate to have some of the best workers in town. Thanks, guys. We love ya!

Fairgate Style Fits Brides

April 2nd, 2013

brideAccording to a recent wedding planner survey, the “style” of the venue is one of the most important factors considered by brides when deciding where to hold their wedding. The venue sets the background for the entire day. It will be in your photographs and in your memory bank for years to come. That’s one reason why the Fairgate continues to be a favorite pick for weddings. From the moment you walk through the doors, you feel welcomed and at ease. Even though the decor is elegant and the gardens are lush, guests feel comfortable and right at home. From intimate parties to lavish receptions for hundreds, we know how to make the magic happen. It’s why we hear comments like this from our brides: “An amazing experience! Got many compliments on how elegant and beautiful our wedding was. It was more than we could have hoped for!” Contact us today for a personal tour.

Rusty orange is perfect for fall events. For spring and summer, choose between our hot pink or light blue fabric. And don’t forget to ask about our luscious ivory crush table cloths. Young Guest Steals Hearts

March 6th, 2013

little manNothing tugs at the heart strings more than sweet little ones and we had one of the sweetest stay at the inn last week. Four-year old, Xaidyn, joined his family for a little getaway and ran away with our hearts. Dad is stationed at Ft. Lewis and Mom is busy raising Xaidyn and his 6-month old sister. The Fairgate provided the perfect place for the young family to relax and unwind. This huggable cutie was not only adorable, he scored points a plenty on his manners and personality. When owner, Chris Foyt, complimented Xaidyn on the tie he wore to breakfast, he quickly whipped off the tie and demonstrated the finer points of clip-ons. What’s not to love?

Fairgate Goes South of the Border

February 27th, 2013

southwestWe love seeing the creative ideas that our brides come up with for reception decor. Seems there are endless ways to combine colors, flowers, fabrics and flavors that say “Thanks for being a part of our celebration!” to family and guests. We especially enjoy encouraging decorations that express a unique style without breaking the bank. Like this “south of the border” theme which utilizied trendy mini-bromeliads, low cost glass containers and grocery shelf beans to create simple yet stunning centerpieces. Black linens were a dramatic backdrop for the aloe and cactus greens of the plants and helped highlight the accent color of the black beans. graciasAnd for the perfect favor? Homemade salsa in burlap-covered jars for guests to take home. Looking for inspiration for your wedding decor? Visit our Pinterest boards for the latest in wedding fashions and trends. Say It with Bling

February 13th, 2013

TiffanyHappy Valentine’s Day! If you are celebrating the day with an engagement, be sure to check out our fabulous finds for wedding jewelry on our Pinterest board. You’ll see everything from classic Tiffany’s to custom crafted rings from the Northwest. According to a recent survey, the average expected price for an engagement ring is $1k to $5k. Round cut diamonds remain the most popular gem  followed by emerald cut diamonds. Platinum is the metal of choice because of its strength but it can be cost prohibitive so white gold is the most commonly used for diamond rings. Whatever bling you choose, we  hope your engagement is a time of fun and joy. And don’t forget to contact us to discuss your wedding day needs. We look forward to making your special day sparkle!

Fairgate Aids Grounded Museum

February 7th, 2013

pearson-logoThis week’s news of the closure of the Pearson Air Museum came as a shock to the community. Especially surprised were the 45 individuals, couples and companies who had booked upcoming events at the museum. Weddings, fundraisers and meetings will now have to find a new home. The museum trust is working with event producers to find alternative venues and The Fairgate has offered to be a part of the solution. “We will be happy to work on an individual basis with anyone who has been caught in this dilemma,” stated Chris Foyt, owner of the Fairgate. “We will do our best to honor their original plans and budget.” The Fairgate’s beautiful conservatory with state-of-the-art audio visual equipment can accommodate 175 people for events year round. In season, the elegant outdoor canopy expands the space for larger groups. If your party plans have been grounded, contact us today to discuss the possibilities. We’ll help give you the wings you need for a soaring success!
