Newly released statistics* brought us some very encouraging news. Studies show that 87% of Millennials have an interest in staying at a B&B. In addition, 80% of Gen X expressed a desire to find room at an inn, as did 76% of Boomers. That certainly paints a bright picture for inns across the country. And from the management perspective, the 2011 Industry Study of Innkeeping Operations and Finance, reports that while the industry is faring well in today’s economy, innkeepers are having to work twice as hard as ever to keep up with trends and offer an appealing product to savvy travelers.
